Love this! I asked my manager ‘do you think my salary reflects the value I bring to the team’ knowing I was underpaid. They said no and it led to a pay increase.

I also look at industry standard for the role so I can say “based on XYZ from my own experience, and looking at industry standard for a role of this level, I’d be looking at a salary of £X”
