Sometimes those clothes are worth thousands of dollars, covered in designer labels and luxury brands. The person who wore them never imagined they would one day be cut off and left behind forever. The shroud has no labels. It has no pockets. It reminds us that we leave this world with nothing except our actions and deeds. Allah says: “Competition in worldly increase diverts you, until you visit the graves.” (Qur’an 102:1–2) So prepare for the garment that truly matters—the garment of righteousness.
