He isn't being hung. The leash is at standing height and he is choosing to try to lay down to guard the toy. He can easily stand up and relieve the pressure. Not saying I agree with it, but he isn't being hung.

I had to think about it cause just cause something makes me uncomfortable, doesn’t mean it’s wrong, but this is going beyond using a correction. It is dangerous for the dogs body. Pulling up on a dogs with a leash may be needed to get them away from something but then you are feeling exactly how much you are pulling and can adjust. This does not give any room for feeling or adjusting and is putting longer term pressure on his trachea.

It actually scares me just how unpredictable this could make a dog because there are so few owners could or would want to replicate this sort of training at home. This dog will forever be a liability.

I have a possessive dog and if I used this set up it would make him more possessive of his resources. Doing this with a bully is dangerous.

So many people will justify adversive training because they are "saving the dog's life" when in reality they are really training suppression behavior that could easily blow up in an adopter's face later on. I used to work at a shelter and I was very fortunate that they never used adversives and counseled heaving on Positive Reinforcement
