There's also some spiritualists that label actions and things as low and high vibrational. Some people say that we shouldn't eat meat because it's low vibrational and harmful for you. They bring over the same themes of strict rules and laws that's found in religion and apply it into spirituality.

Practicing spirituality must first start with the person and your first work must be done from within. Because if it is not, you are always going to be looking for validation outside of yourself, looking for someone to guide you, or someone or something to speak to you. If your own spirit doesn't speak to you, then stop expecting to hear voices from others to speak to you. If you can't find clarity within your own spirit, within your own being, then how can you expect to find clarity from something else outside of you?
