You don't colorize a classic b&w film like Casablanca. The cinematographer, Arthur Edeson, shot it in a film noir style. Colorizing takes away the dramatic effects of shadows & light. Michael Curtiz, the director, shot it in b&w & utilized the best strengths of that medium to great effect. Warner Bros wouldn't have ever budgeted it for color anyway in those days. But it should be seen as it was intended in it's original format.
