Every trip we take, he plans one surprise day for me. He does it all on his own and works with my assistant to make it happen. I never ask questions. I just trust him and go with the flow. …but this time was different. What I didn’t know was that he told my entire team. My assistant. My stylist. Everyone knew except me. They made sure I was dressed. They made sure we matched, and I walked around Paris completely unaware that my life was about to change. We went to the Picasso Museum. Sat at a café and wrote letters to our future selves. Had dinner reservations like any other beautiful Paris night. After dinner though, he said we had somewhere else to be. Still just going with the flow, walking around in my sparkly dress like nothing was happening 😂 Then we got to the Eiffel Tower. They blindfolded me. I was confused while trying to figure out what this man was up to. However, even then, I never thought proposal. I truly could have never imagined this. We have talked about marriage before. I have sent him rings. I shared what I liked and what I dreamed about, but in my mind, those were just conversations 🤷🏾‍♀️ I did not realize you were listening. Really listening. When the blindfold came off, I broke. I cried immediately. I said yes before you even had the chance. Paris, my favorite place in the world, became the place where every doubt I ever had about love disappeared. There was a time I did not believe that I would be someone’s forever…but you love all of me. You have seen me at my best and my worst & still manage to love me like a queen ❤️ Paris. A horse and carriage. Flowers. A violinist playing our song “Two Occasions” by The Deele. The ring I asked for…and of course YOU.
