He’s not established as a god, not tied to any cosmic law, not backed by any hierarchy. It’s just arbitrary. Compare that to someone like Rimuru. His power actually has a foundation—you can trace it. He absorbs, evolves, stacks abilities, gains ultimate skills. There’s a progression, a system, a logic behind it. Same with characters like The One Above All—at least he’s defined as the god of his verse. There’s a clear source of authority. But Yogiri? It’s literally “I say you die, so you die.” No cost, no mechanism, no explanation. That’s not overpowered—that’s just poorly written. And don’t even start with the “above narrative” argument. No character is above the narrative—they are the narrative. Only the author is above it. Saying a character transcends the story while still being written inside it is just self-contradictory. At that point, there’s nothing to debate. No scaling, no comparison, no logic—just plot convenience. Stop hyping characters that don’t earn their power. If it has no rules, no origin, and no structure, it’s not impressive—it’s empty.
