ACTUALLY HELPFUL TIPS HERE 1) The flower pot trick works if you don't have gas heating BUT please make sure it isn't a glazed terracotta pot or you'll be slowly releasing toxic fumes into your household. 2) DO NOT cover your drains like that!! Make sure you leave all your pipes dripping and open the cabinets below them so that your pipes won't freeze/burst. 3) You can do the coin trick but honestly, it's better to just grab a cooler and place your cold foods outside since it's already so cold out there. 4) Line the bottom of your doors with towels and place a protective film over your windows to help seal the heat in. I use bubble wrap on my windows but if you use something you find more effective, drop a comment and let's help make sure people stay safe and warm this winter! 🖤

DO NOT LEAVE CANDLES BURNING FOR ANY SERIOUS LENGTH OF TIME IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is a SERIOUS threat - look into the cause of death for a significant portion of those who died in TX during the last big one when everyone lost power - it wasn't the cold, y'all.

See this is when it pays to live in the country with propane heaters and barrels of water for bathing and flushing toilets. Boil the water for coffee and cooking. And chop a tree to make a fire and cook on it. Little generator for charging phones and laptops all at once.

NONE of this helps in an ice storm!! 😂😂😂 That candle is going to go out once you cover it. Covering the drains will cause your pipes to freeze and burst and just out the frozen stuff in a bin outside with the ice to keep it frozen. Who told u this mess 😂😂😂
