The problem with nuclear energy the chance of a disaster is not zero, human error will always be a thing. And if there is a disaster the consequences are horrendous and last thousands of years. Chernobyl and Fukushima are proof of this, ultimately both human error. Fukushima a design flaw that did not anticipate a tsunami of that size.

If I remember correctly, the Green Party (ironically) worked for years to shutdown all Nuclear in Germany, but that created an “energy needs” void, filled in by mostly fossil fuels… The greatest irony

Sadly nuclear power cannot be rationally discussed in Germany anymore. Fukushima was the deciding victory that pushed the anti nuclear coalition sole goal across the finish line and people were lied to that electricity prices would decrease bc renewables are so cheap. System costs were hidden from the public.

I think entire world that time was wondering what Germany Government was thinking shutting these plants. If Merkel wasn't Russian asset then I don't know another logical explanation 💀

Can you put solar panels on the side of a nuclear power plant? to farm more energy for nuclear power plants or is it in a way useless due to it not being efficient enough?

Don't get the problem we got with nuclear reactors?. Yes we got waste, but so does fossil fuels in the shape of CO2. and it's not that inconvenient to handle it.
