In every step of your way, you will find many masquerades but the main point of gathering is at St. Mark's square! Dates : 31/1-17/2 Follow the program on : https://carnevale.venezia.it/ Here I would like to add that there is no parade like in other cities or countries in th world, there are masquerades everywhere you walk but they mostly gather In St.Mark's square! Everything is Free, only if you want to participate in any of the activities probably needs a ticket but the whole experience,plus the food are not as expensive as you think!!! Venice can be magical without paying a fortune! My advice for your stay is to find sth on the other side of the town, personally, I was staying between Mestre / Margera -very close to the traim station and I had this beautiful experience with the train taking me above the sea into Venice's main train station only with 1.10€!
