Sometimes, the hardest thing to accept is watching someone you once loved become happy with someone else, knowing that the happiness you once dreamed of sharing with them is now being shared with someone new. But perhaps not every question needs an answer, and not every love story is meant to have a happy ending. I don't regret meeting you, and I don't regret loving you, because you once brought happiness into my life in ways I will never forget. However, I am slowly learning that loving someone doesn't mean waiting for them forever, and missing someone doesn't mean you have to return to the past. Maybe we were only meant to be a chapter in each other's lives, not the entire story. I hope you find happiness wherever life takes you, even if that happiness no longer includes me. And I hope that one day, I will be able to remember you without feeling the pain of losing you, to see you happy without wishing I were the person beside you, and to look back at our memories with a smile instead of sadness. Because in the end, some people come into our lives to teach us what love feels like, while others teach us how to let go.
