Pedestrians always have right away.. it’s the driver’s responsibility to stay aware of the road.. if it were a civilian driving that car they would be charged.

The fact the officer didn’t break AT ALL? I get night is harder to see but at no point did she attempt to break or avoid them, should loose her license as well as her job.

Unbelievable, why are you just standing as a group in the middle of the road? Admittedly watching the video I didn’t see them until the last minute either, and it would’ve been very hard to react through the she shock of seeing that in front of you and having nowhere to go to avoid it

It is absolutely an awful tragedy, my condolences to the families and her babies but that would not have happened if they were not in the middle of the road at night with no crosswalk or a set of lights with the clear to walk across it wouldn’t have happened

Why were they just standing in middle of the road, jaywalking. The vision difference between seeing it on the camera and actually seeing in person are different. They had dark clothing, the people jaywalking at fault.

Pedestrian at fault. Tho the police station may help pay for medical expenses or funeral expenses. I’m not sure. It was her own fault for standing in the middle of the road and endangering her children’s lives while doing so. The cop had no time to react. She shouldn’t lose her job over an accident

People in this comment section doesn't watch the video completely, there isnt a crosswalk where they we're standing on, and why would they be in the middle of the road? the officer was cruising around 50 to 60 it is enough damage to harm someone you could see in the video if it we're around 70 to 80mp/h it would flung her much, And the officers we're at fault for not paying attention, but think of their povs people walking on a road with no lights around them to be seen by the police officers. They could be seen 5 seconds after when the car got closer. They weren't speeding.
