Marriage has it's ups and downs. It's about commitment. I've been married 28 yrs and we've been together a total of 37 yrs (I was 19, him 23 when we got together). There have been hard times and we got through them TOGETHER. That's the point of marriage. We don't have children so we haven't had that kind of stressor in our relationship. At least with us, the good times outweigh the hard times and I can't see living without him.

Its not a division of labor issue. it seems like both need to work on meeting each other's love language and general communication. I would come home and give my wife a 30+min break and spend time with my son, but overall once we improved our communication and met each other's love language everything got easier. We both felt loved and heard. she would tell me shes at 20% at times and I would cover the 80 and vic versa. Teamwork and communication
