Phone calls for conversation, texting should be like a message board, “here is simple task” “quick question about task” “quick answer” …. “Task complete”, or reminders/tidbits, I HATE being asked how my day was over text, either face to face or phone call, I’m sick of typing expected to have an immediate response

Voice messages are even worse, it has the only downside of texting being the delay with all the downsides of calling and it's randomly just incredibly quiet and turns off as soon as you try to do anything for some reason

Could not more strongly disagree Texting is vastly insuperior. A call gets across so much information so quickly and you can tell if the other person is understanding you. Texts are fine to send a couple of details but calling will always be my go to.
