You also forgot the point of “they may not be qualified or skilled enough to do the work I do.” As someone who grew up in the shop of a major dealer in my area, and has spent the majority of my adult life in the automotive industry, I normally hear this complaint from the higher skilled techs. And they normally seem to be complaining about lower tier techs getting easier work 🤷🏻♂️

Sucks when you’re good at what you do and your quality of work is good. Felt this way this week, warranty dash board on a newer sienna, warranty transfer case on a 23 Highlander warranty panoramic roof on a brand new 26 Camry back to back to back all on Monday -Tuesday, last 2 days made up for it on my upsells but it does get frustrating when you’re doing warranty work when everyone else is doing gravy recalls

I stop bailing out gravy techs. Their gravy tends to go sideways fast, then I say “welcome to my world”.
