@santacruzmedicinals: Today I was arrested while campaigning for my petition to increase outdoor time at schools. As soon as we were near this high school I was recognized and a swarm of stoked students gathered. We were just filming an intro with a school background we didn’t realize we would get swarmed. I was then placed under arrest for trespassing and “disrupting school” I am truly sorry for any disruptions I caused. Sometimes when making a real change, it can cause some disruptions. I have immense respect for the police who are doing a very difficult job. I also understand the school employees who may be concerned as to why so many other students are gathering in one place. The mission continues but I will not be raising awareness for this initiative near schools anymore as to not cause “disruption” To be fair this was during break time where students have a paltry 14 minutes to spend outdoors.
