The Adelson/Dumonts are pushing the sale of City Hall because they want to build a casino there. I think they are paying someone to inflate the repairs estimate. They need to go back to Vegas.

I work in downtown and it is absolutely horrible! The filth, the smell, the homeless problem, the parking cost nightmare . $12 parking, gas, commute .

Once visionary Kourtny Garrett with Downtown Dallas Inc left, coupled with the timing of the pandemic, downtown Dallas started losing a lot of tenants and it continues today. IMO, once the convention center expansion is complete, things will begin to improve. Between Merhdad Moeyedi, Craig Hall,Trammel Crowe and Tim Headington’s influence, all will be okay.

I don’t think it’ll take 7 years I think maybe 3-5? I personally love hanging out in downtown. The architecture is unmatched anywhere else and I love how lively it is. Granted it’s not perfect by any means but I still enjoy it being not perfect and can find the joy and beauty in it (honestly suburbs scare me lol .) It has SO MUCH potential and I look forward to its growth regardless of the people and companies moving away.
