as much as i ADORE modern family, they really failed at establishing personalities for the younger characters. luke, manny, and lilly all were set up as like humor enhancers and then they never did mix to actually expand them as PEOPLE as they aged.

I don’t think ppl realize she literally grew up filming the show. It’s a very weird experience and she was probably at the age she was questioning it. It’s not an easy way to grow up
