Having sales people is always going to get any company more sales than if they don’t have sales reps.. in reality a lot of customer wouldn’t make a decision without some proper guidance/convincing

I’d happily just pay sticker to not deal with the nonsense of going back and forth. I just bought a 2026 RAV4. I bought it from the first place I was willing to drive getting one with the options I wanted without markup or dealer adds.

Manufacturers would be stuck with their inventory rather than getting paid once the vehicle hits the dealership lot. That’s insanely expensive, especially in a down market. It works for niche vehicles, but not for highly competitive vehicles.

What would you do with trades. Have to sell it Facebook lol. How do people take test drives? Touch it, feel it, see the color in person. Hopefully there is a 7 day refund if I am spending 50k plus and I don't like it.

I gotta say, I’ve bought 10 teslas and every single time was seamless and chill. I leased one Nissan leaf and it was the most annoying dealership experience ever. That was with a guaranteed lease price too…dealerships suck

I didn’t work in car sales because I thought every company was going direct to consumer in 2021. But it never happened outside of Tesla. I now work in car sales

So real questions here, how exactly do you think these manufacturers are gonna service these vehicles? You know, for warranty. Also, do you really think a manufacturer is gonna take your trade in? In my opinion, these are the two biggest factors keeping dealerships locked into the mix. Everything else is just semantics.
