@shuebrahman3: There’s been an incident on a plane from Jeddah to Dhaka where people lost their temper, and many of our own Bangladeshis are now calling them all sorts of names for behaving like that. I’m not backing their behaviour at all wrong is wrong. But brothers, before we rush to judge, do we actually know the full backstory of what happened? It’s easy for us to sit comfortably and say they should have had sabr and kept quiet. But maybe their sabr had already been pushed to its limit. Imagine being stuck in an airport with cancelled flights, constantly being told you’ll be on the next flight, only for that promise to keep changing. Some of them may have had to buy completely new tickets just to get on a plane to go home. Not everyone has the money for that. Many might have been rationing whatever money they had left, maybe even going hungry in the airport just to manage. Then after all of that, they finally get on the plane during Ramadan — and there’s no food provided for sehri. Again, I’m not saying the behaviour was right. But before we start insulting our own people and calling them names, maybe we should pause and remember we don’t know everything they went through before that moment. Sometimes people reach breaking point after being pushed far beyond what we can see. May Allah give us all sabr and understanding. 🤲
