WHY ARE THESE HOUSES LEFT UNTOUCHED ?!?! 🤯 While exploring Mountbatten Road, I stumbled upon something that genuinely left me scratching my head. A row of old heritage bungalows quietly sits on an enormous piece of land, surrounded by modern developments, luxury homes and one of Singapore’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Yet, despite the value of the land, these houses appear to have remained largely untouched for years. What fascinated me even more was the bungalow directly opposite at 760 Mountbatten Road. Built in the early 1900s, it forms part of Singapore’s Mountbatten Road Bungalow Conservation Area and was reportedly listed for more than S$60 million just a few years ago. While filming, I had the chance to speak to a friendly caretaker who shared that the house has been unoccupied for over a decade, and as far as he knows, there are currently no plans to redevelop it. I spent quite some time searching online, but surprisingly, there isn’t much documented about the history of these homes. So this time, I need your help. If anyone knows who lived here, why these houses were left as they are, or has old photographs or stories to share, I’d genuinely love to hear them. #abandonedplaces #forgottenplaces #explore #singapore #hiddengems
