I have been laid off the 2 times and the first one was the worst. It felt the same for me as well. Honestly once I realized that a company doesnt give 2 shits about you the better I was in the future. Try to do something you love for a few months and get into a routine. It helped me from spiraling. For me is was a workout class the same time a few days a week.Also dont rush to find a job asap. You dont want to get stuck in a job you hate because your desperate for a job. I did that and worked 6 month a job I was miserable in.

It just sucks. It happened to me about two years ago. File for unemployment, look at your finances, and update your resume. Reach out to recruiters! You’re going to find something better, I promise.

Literally same thing happened to me. I was promised a promotion so I re-signed my lease then out of the blue they laid off about 500 of us. Never trust or care about a job. They don’t care about you. I’m sorry.

I got laid off after 9 years. I totally understand and get it. Single mom- (bd is 💀) trying to buy a house. 3 months later landed a job I adore and what I make in a week is more than I made in two weeks at my previous job. You can have great performance reviews these days and be laid off the next day. I’ve been in tech, big names, for over 15 years now and you should always have an exit plan. Remember it’s transactional, don’t get attached—ever. That feeling you feel is growth, stay strong!
