Letting go of stuff and living within our means has been one of the greatest upgrades we’ve ever made. Three years ago, we had a choice: stay in our 3,000 sq. ft. home or start over and intentionally build a simpler life with more financial margin. We chose the second. We bought land, downsized our family from 3,000 sq. ft. to a 1,600 sq. ft. barndominium, and have slowly been building our home one project at a time, all while staying within our means. This is our dream life. We’re slowly building it together 🫶🏻 The difference is that our dream stopped being about keeping up with trends, buying things we don’t need, keeping up with the joneses. It became about having more peace, more freedom, less financial pressure, more time as a family, being able to give freely later on, and the ability to build slowly instead of rushing to “have it all.” Social media often makes it seem like success means the bigger house, the luxury finishes, and the picture-perfect life. Those things are easier to measure from the outside. They’re the external things after all, but my goal here is to remind you that a rich life isn’t always about the external stuff We chose a different kind of wealth. If you’re living within your means while slowly building the life you want, you’re not behind. You’re building a foundation that lasts. Stick around as we continue to turn our barndo into our dream home budget-friendly project at a time and our life 🤍 #livingwithinmeans #smallerhome #barndominiumliving #newbuild #barndominium
