Rachel Morningstar Hoffman was a recent graduate from Florida State University. She was smart, caring, and full of dreams for the future. No backup close by, no protection, just Rachel facing dangerous criminals. The deal went terribly wrong. The suspects, Deneilo Bradshaw and Andrea Green, realized Rachel was working with police. They kidnapped her, drove her away, and murdered her. She was only 23 years old. The case sparked outrage. People questioned how law enforcement could put a young woman, untrained and scared, in such a deadly situation. Her death became a turning point and inspired “Rachel’s Law” in Florida meant to protect confidential informants and ensure no one else would be recklessly placed in danger like she was.
