I feel like there’s a lot missing from the story and there was also some other communication that she wasn’t informed about. The airbnb situation didn’t make sense from the beginning because if you have access to the note, the airbnb was linked in the note (from what I could see), so how did you not see that the room had 2 twin beds? I also think instead of the birthday girl telling people your room is secure once you pay, she was letting people claim their rooms and since the friend was one of the last people to join the trip that’s how she ended up essentially not being able to “pick” a room to better accommodate her. But again, the bnb was linked in the note so why couldn’t that have been discussed before yall even left the states. I think both parties played their part in being wrong and not properly communicating. But everybody doesn’t know how to plan group trips or simply be a good friend.

Part of being a good friend is reading the room…. She wasn’t wrong, her timing just wasn’t the best. Especially considering the day they had traveling and her making the comment that she “would’ve” slept on the floor!

The birthday girl who was the host planned that trip A1.. extremely detailed , all prices listed , Link to the air bnb in all the text and used Partiful app for all the activities w/ prices listed AND posted ALL the text! The fact that she gave her a solo room and the girl paid for a shared room! The birthday girl did over n beyond for hosting!!!

What could the birthday girl do though? Book a new air bnb? You can ask questions but pls ask questions that make sense for the situation. Switching rooms could be possible but if everyone paid the same amount then it’s not mandatory. Just adjust or find another living accommodation tbh.
