the thing is I do think im autistic and I did my research but im afraid ill just sit there like "I think I might be autistic" "oh why is that?" and ill forget all the information and my experiences... like its in my head but im so bad at getting my thoughts out right

I have my assessment on Friday. I'm terrified. I've been researching Autism ever since a friend suggested that I might be autistic. I've been researching it for almost 5 years... I'm really hoping that the assessment goes well. I'm severely anxious though

I have my assessment tomorrow, and I'm so scared that my lifelong masking will kick in and I'll end up acting normal. Or maybe I'll get so stressed about it that I'll just fail to function on a very basic level. Could go either way tbh.

been thinking about getting my assessment for a while, but so sacred that as a late diagnosed ADHD woman, my autism will be so hard to identify. then again, I've got 3 AuDHD kids, so not sure why I'm still waiting for the official statement that apples don't grow on lemon trees 😅

i got diagnosed with audhd but i just don't feel like i have autism... ive been through a lot of past trauma as young as a toddler and think my issues are adhd and ptsd based. my assessor said since i don't have frequent nightmares i don't qualify for ptsd :( but everything just makes sense if its ptsd and adhd! not adhd and autism :(

my son's the other way around he's afraid to go get assessed because he thinks he will be diagnosed with Autism. he has a younger brother with Autism.

Got diagnosed back in November, after a few years of suspecting it. I still struggle with feeling valid and trusting the diagnosis but I think it is the fact that it takes time to process things. I don't want to feel different but I am and that's okay

I do think I’m autistic but decided to pursue diagnosis at 56–had assessment this last Thursday and will get results this coming Thursday. Yeah—I’m nervous for what you say here.

i'm scared that because i probably already saw a lot of the Tests/questions they r going ask and that i'll ansewer differently than the first time i saw them (e.g. the frog story thing - ofc i would have a story ready to tell by now) i feel Like i'm cheating the assessment by researching, even thought i Just wanted to educated myself by doing so to not waste anyones time 🫠
