@draytonpeterson: 5 days before he passed, we took him to the vet unknowingly. i was counting his breaths because they were abnormal, and i knew we should get him a check up. he was breathing heavy, but he was diagnosed with asthma not too long ago, so we assumed it was time for his inhaler. much to our dismay, the vet noticed fluid in his chest. he had lymphocytes, and it was most likely lymphoma or thymoma. all we could do is drain the fluid and hope for the best with steroids. he lived a long 13 1/2 wonderful years, and watching him suffer was not okay. after draining the fluid, it came back with vengeance to the full level it was at again in just 3 days. we knew when we found this out it was time. we gave him all the love we could till the very end, and i'm aching with all this love that has nowhere to go now. it happened in only 5 days. i felt so blindsided. he was a force that will never be able to be recreated or replaced. i love him so much and i am hurting every single day without him but i know he would need me to be okay and do amazing things. i am living everyday with as much power and honor i can. i will do everything in his memory ❤️‍🩹 i love you so much, duncan. #petloss #cat #cats #catsoftiktok #grief
