Duang and his friend group are LOUD, everyone probably noticed them. But Qin noticed Duang cause he was kind, he would buy sanitary pads for female friends, he would drop his female friends to the train station while he took bus home, and it wasn't just one day or two, it was always. And that kindness and consistency made Qin notice Duang. That is the reason he gave him a chance to pursue him. Also, to Qin whose parents were always busy, was a bused by his nanny as a child, heart broken my a guy, seeing a guy like Duang must have been such a different feeling. If I was in his place, I would have definitely thought "What would happen if I had him in my life? Would I be happy? Would I be important? Would I be loved?". Qin didn't think much of that past interaction between them but when Duang came forward and told him he likes him, he saw the potential and he wanted to prove to himself that this would work.
