If I understand correctly prayer is a communication process between us and God. It doesn’t guarantee that God is going to do anything. I mean no disrespect by this but even when Jesus Christ prayed to The Father asking if there was another way, but that The Father’s will be done, God didn’t intervene. It’s just hard to feel comforted by the idea of God walking with us in pain rather than just taking the pain away since he is fully able to do it. It’s also hard when we see that some people DO get their prayers answered in terms of healing and provision.

I struggle with this too but I am also comforted that He who starts a good in me will see it through to completion. To whoever reading this don’t stop praying don’t stop believing don’t stop hoping. God is not the author of confusion and sometimes it’s our heart that he is working on.

I have felt like this man so many times. I came to realize that the truth of God's word is separate from my emotions. Believing in God's truth is a choice. It doesn't come naturally. Eventually my emotions caught up with the truth. These sufferings have also strengthened my faith and built my character. Thank you for this post.
