@themindfulphysio: The biggest judgement usually comes from those closest to you because in healing your inter generational wounds, theirs get exposed too. Have you heard of healing 7 generations back and 7 generations forward? #nervoussystemhealing #somatichealing #holistichealing #traumahealing #intergenerationaltrauma
I most definitely am but I’m okay with it because I refuse to let this continue in my lineage -it ends with me! And that’s on business 🙌🏻 ♥️

Its been an incredibly hard journey, Ive tried and tried talking, and now both parents dont talk to me. However its because I now have boundaries, and will happily talk things through, but they wont do that, because that means facing behaviour they dont want to see. I’ve recently chosen myself over them, but its been very hard to do ❤️

Yep. Once you see it, you cant unsee it. So much dysfunction being normalised or silenced in Irish society. Emotionally immature parent, has narcissistic tendencies, enabled by other parent, family bends to the person with the most dysfunction, parents expect everyone to keep the pretence and protect the all important image of the perfect family, another family member (black sheep) who finally calls out the dysfunction gets scapegoated. Sometimes followed by an unfair smear campaign "oh the scapegoat changed, met a new partner, has mental health issues". Dysfunction is often seen also in families with substance issues but not exclusively so.
