@leahhopehealth: Getting marked for surgery (where the surgeon maps out the exact areas and incisions) kind of makes me feel like an art project… and @modernplasticsurgery is my favorite artist! 🥰 I had my surgery three days ago. It was a long surgery because Dr. Moshrefi is a perfectionist which is exactly what I want from my surgeon. 😉 I am in pain even while taking my narcotic but it’s not too bad if I’m just laying with my legs up on a bed or couch. I feel the most pain when I’m sitting down or standing back up. The swelling is one of the most intense parts right now. I’m swollen all over, not just on my legs. My right foot feels like it might burst. 🙈 But… I’ve experienced this before and I know the swelling will start going down soon! I’ve had three post op appointments (one each day since my surgery) to check on my incisions and swelling and I feel so taken care of by Dr. Moshrefi and the whole @Advanced Lipedema Treatment program team! They make a challenging time (surgery and recovery) easier for me! 💜 #DrShawnMoshrefi #ALTProgram #Partner *all surgeries come with risks and each person has to decide what is the best route for them!
