Pilate himself said he found Jesus not guilty and only crucified him because of what the Jews wanted. That girl is so incredibly misinformed that it is actually amazing.

In the Bible Matthew 27 verse 24 Pilate washes his hand of the situation and says the responsibility for the death of Jesus was on the Jews as they literally kept demanding he kill a man he found to be innocent. Just saying he’s innocent doesn’t make him innocent but the Bible is pretty clear that Pilate wanted nothing to do with the situation presented to him

Jesus intentionally presented himself that way too, there was no in between you either believed that he was the son of God or you believed he was a blasphemous prophet he didn’t leave any grey area. He made a statement and made sure it was the most clear stance that has ever happened.
