The reason they don’t keep the uniforms is most likely the same reason as the Cowboys uniforms. Someone made a decision to do a photo shoot in the uniform without the consent of the franchise and it was published. I believe all teams take the uniforms back at the end of the season so that doesn’t happen again. I may be wrong but I’m just guessing because that is the explanation that was given when the DCC was asked why they have to return the uniforms.

to make sure that they fit in that bag make sure that each individual uniform ziplock baggie has all the air sucked out and it's completely flat and then put it in your big lots of black bag

Im still so thrown off that you have to try out every year. I get maybe the first two years to see if it really what you wanna do, and make sure your have it locked down but after 2 years you should be guaranteed a spot unless you turn it down.
