@sarrahstrimelbentley: A few years ago I was sitting in a doctor’s office being told I had breast cancer at 38. No family history. No warning. Just a walnut-sized lump I almost missed. In the same breath they told me my fertility was at risk. I didn’t just fight for my life. I fought for my future family. What followed was a double mastectomy, two rounds of IVF, 8 rounds of chemo, 28 rounds of radiation… and then the most unexpected, beautiful surrogacy journey that gave me the greatest love of my life — my son Chance.
