I felt the same and I decided to do something for myself weekly. No matter what. I used to ride horses. It’s been 15years since I last rode. I now take a weekly lesson. It’s 1.5 hours out of the house where my mind and body are my own. Unable to think about anything but what I’m doing in the moment. And it’s all my own. Just for me. It gives me the refresh and strength to make it through another week. I pray you find something that is all your own and makes you feel the same. ❤️

Totally understand. I have a non verbal autistic 26 year old daughter that won't eat, drink or even sleep until I'm home, when I'm home she says mommie 100 time's which is beautiful because it's the one thing she says but at same time I have no me time no space to call my own,she won't go to bed until my bedroom lights are off&I'm in bed, it's a lot but I have no choice because she's my everything, but I seriously need a mental break!🥺

Felt safety is one of the most heartbreaking abnormal trenches of neevous system disabilities, because their an invisible barrier, especially if a child cannot vocalize and don't know how to express what is going on. This experience is so raw and valid, and important. But it in another completely deeper trench to see the disability from the other side while acknowledge how heavy, deep, and impossible feeling this is

I totally understand your position. I have to seek solitude outside my home just to avoid being overwhelmed. in my case my sister will not speak up to advocate her needs until she sees my presences. My siblings have prompted her to ask for help but refuses to do so. It's time to bring in some help so that she will learn to be more dependent on others . My time is no longer my time and that has to change for my own peace.

It’s tough what some people go through. With that said: I said a prayer for you tonight. May God put His Mighty Hand in your situation. Peace be with you. 🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️

Yes…. 12 and 17. I would love to have guests or not feel guilty for hiding once in a while. I tell myself that this is the phase of life I am in

I felt really really trapped for the same reason, I think that I'm mourned my freedom and I couldn't walk away when I wanted to to take a break, I was the only one at home with him and I did have a nurse for 24 hours a week. ...
I was able to obtain respite care.
I can message you the place my son used to use respite care at.

I wish I had a good answer for you. I take care of our daughter all day and my husband takes the nighttime and the burnout is real. Not getting much alone time is hard. Even when I get alone time she texts me constantly. Our house is just a place to exist in.

Momma you are doing an amazing job. I have been in your shoes and totally can relate. Jesse’s was self-separating anixety with us. He was scared and knew as long as he saw one of us he was ok. But if one of us left it was different. It took some time and long reassurance. You are doing an amazing job. I see you .
