I don’t agree that palm lines determine a person’s destiny, lifestyle, or longevity, and I also don’t see how Proverbs 3:16 and Isaiah 49:16 support that idea. Proverbs 3:16 says, “Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.” This verse is talking about wisdom, not a person’s physical hands. The right and left hands are used symbolically to show that wisdom brings blessings like long life, riches, and honor—not that anything is written in the lines of someone’s palm. Isaiah 49:16 says, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” This is also figurative language. It expresses how deeply God values and remembers His people. Being “engraved” on God’s palm is about care and remembrance, not about physical lines on human hands. So, in my view, both verses are symbolic and do not support palmistry. Using them to claim that palm lines reveal destiny is taking the scriptures out of context.
