One of the most distinctive aspects of DreadOut is its atmosphere. Unlike many conventional horror games, which rely heavily on loud noises and sudden jumpscares, DreadOut creates fear through isolation, darkness and suspense. Its abandoned buildings, empty corridors and unsettling environments constantly make the player feel vulnerable. The Indonesian setting also introduces elements of local folklore and supernatural mythology, giving the game a unique identity. The gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving and encounters with hostile spirits. Interestingly, Linda cannot rely on conventional weapons to defend herself.
