Carnival isn’t just a party to me. It’s Caribbean culture, built and kept alive in Britain for generations. I was born in the UK, a descendant of immigrants, and I’ve spent my career building on what my family started. Bouclème is a multi-million pound business now. It employs a team. It supports working mums. It pays its tax. Three generations on from a couple who arrived with a suitcase and nothing else.
