God created humanity in His own image, but money is a human construct, formed by human systems and governed by human decisions. This means that, ultimately, people exercise influence over wealth at every level. The issue is not mystical control; it is mindset, wisdom, and stewardship. As believers, we must anchor our understanding in the truth of Scripture. The Spirit of God who lives in us is supreme. There is no power greater than the Holy Spirit. As 1 John 4:4 reminds us, “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” Therefore, it is neither accurate nor helpful to attribute the control of wealth to superior spiritual forces working through unbelievers. While spiritual realities do exist, we must not exaggerate the power of evil. Doing so undermines the authority and sufficiency of God within us. Instead, we are called to walk in faith, wisdom, and confidence, while recognizing that through God’s Spirit, we have been empowered to live, lead, and steward effectively in every area, including finances.
