No college fund, making me work to buy my own car, got into AMAZING schools and didn’t fill out her part of the FAFSA 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️Not having access to luxuries was okay when I was YOUNG but having my future stability tampered with because of financial irresponsibility is pmtfo ! This is so sad. Children don’t ask to come to this world and as parents we are meant to give them all the tools & support to set them up for success. My mom gave me everything I needed to put myself through school, she got me my car at 17, it was a used car but would give anything to have that car back, payed for my LVN and now I’m going to go get my RN. I love my mom so much so lucky I got her as a mom

Do your parents simultaneously expect you to be the third adult, translate for them, set up and attend doctors appointments for them, etc? it never made sense to me! Wanted so much from since since I was a child but when I got older and needed things myself, it was always “no”
