@mxn.dream: I’m a Man, I’ll be Fine. That’s what I keep telling myself, like if I repeat it enough, it might start to feel true. I stay quiet about the things that hurt, like I was taught to. I let conversations fade without asking why, even when I want to hold on a little longer. I pretend I don’t notice the distance, the change in tone, the way it all slowly slips away. I tell myself it’s nothing, that I’ve been through worse, that I don’t need anyone to stay. But some nights feel heavier than they should, and the silence says more than words ever did.
