if my dog did any of these things I would be mortified. I don't understand why people don't give their pets boundaries. dogs thrive with boundaries and clear communication

I love my dog. However.. he goes in his cage when we have company, and when we leave the house. He’s too crazy around everyone. I mean he’s not mean, he just gets too excited all the time and is a lot for even me at times.

I friend I used to have didn’t even cut her dogs nails and he would jump all over my legs, ripped two pairs of pants I had and cut my leg with his nasty long nail, AND she didn’t get him fixed for like EVER and he would hump me and shove his face in my crotch esppp if I was on my cycle!! A cat has never treated me that way, untrained or not😭😭

I’m a dog trainer, so I’ve literally dedicated my life to working with dogs, and I absolutely agree. Everybody wants a dog for an aesthetic now, or because they think they should have one, then they do nothing to train them. I love my dog, I’ve put a ton of time into her so she’s very polite and well-mannered (doesn’t bark, jump, or beg), but I do not think I will be getting another one. The dog community is exhausting.
