Yup- did everything to please my parents but I was living for them, not for me. Once I started living for myself I became the black sheep, the “problem”. Now my brother is the golden child

My parents were embarrassed I became a physician- black sheep for being successful and they don’t tell people im an MD. My sister who went to prison is praised.

Yep!!! That is me, the oldest of 4, they don’t include me in their activities anymore. Parents and 3 siblings, just turned their backs on me, very hurtful, I’m still recovering and I’m 60

I was golden child as a kid, sis was black sheep. Now as adult I’m the black sheep and she is the golden adult. You can see who escaped 🥰❤️

This is totally me. I was good at school, super active in church and went to a Christian college, excelled in music, and was my mom’s favorite performer…especially at every family party whether I wanted to or not. Now I’m 52, deconstructed evangelical that hasn’t been to church in 20 years, now tattooed, getting married for the 3rd time, just now feeling settled in my life work, no kids, etc etc LOL and proud of who I am!
