I'm autistic, I'm obsessed with machinery, I became a Machinist in order to learn the skills to make anything. Now I work on large scale industrial generators/electric motors/alternators. All my coworkers including my boss are well aware of my autism, they think I'm a bit odd, but other than that they are really appreciative of me and treat me really well

AuDHD, I recognise everything in this video. getting used by colleagues, different rules for me and them, being passed over for promotion time and time again, I got sick of it in the end and started my own business, I would rather work for myself and keep my self respect.

For me it’s always been learning the position too fast and being efficient to the point where everyone buries me under their tasks and when I apply for internal positions I’m always told my current team needs me too much. That happened for years at my first ‘big girl’ job.

This is why I can’t work in corporate. Actually one of the main reasons I sought diagnosis was because I kept letting bullied from bosses and treated as though I was incompetent at every workplace I’d been in and I didn’t understand why
