Lemon Cake 🍋 A classic of French baking! This lemon cake is moist, fragrant, and generously soaked in a lemon syrup that makes it even more tender. Bake for 10 minutes at 180°C (350°F), then reduce the temperature to 160°C (325°F) and bake for another 20 minutes. 9. Check for doneness with a knife; it should come out clean. Prepare the lemon syrup : 1. In a small saucepan or bowl, combine the water, sugar, and lemon juice. 2. Heat gently until the sugar is completely dissolved. 3. Let cool slightly.  4. Once the cake is out of the oven, unmold it and place it on a wire rack. 5. Generously brush the entire surface of the still-warm cake with the syrup using a pastry brush. 6. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and let it cool for about 1 or 2 hours before serving.
