You're probably not tasting tumeric. Small quantities don't really have a flavour and when you can taste it, it is bitter!

The last bao bun is 'Salted egg lava bun' which we call 'Lau Sha Bao' in Cantonese. They do those in 'Chocolate' flavour bao buns too with the same filling which you can get from 'Dim Sum' restaurants and from Asian supermarkets. They are my fave!!

There’s a Bun House in Chinatown as well. The box has the English translation for each of the buns

discovered chinese food, there are so many more buns chinese do. u need to try them all. my fave are the pan fried pork and chinese leaves. same bun but pan fried. chinese food is the best in the world.
