Before he became the voice of one of Pixar’s most beloved characters, Larry the Cable Guy was known for stand-up comedy and his famous “Git-R-Done” persona In 2006, he took on a role that introduced him to an entirely new audience when he voiced Mater, the rusty but lovable tow truck from Radiator Springs Larry’s Southern drawl and comedic timing gave Mater a personality that was funny, loyal, and full of heart Mater quickly became one of the most recognizable characters in Cars, appearing alongside Lightning McQueen and returning in Cars 2, Cars 3, and his own Mater’s Tall Tales shorts The role proved that sometimes a character’s voice can become just as memorable as the character itself

THE ROAD TO UKRAINE DIDN’T START IN 2022 This video makes a point people tend to get uncomfortable with. The war in Ukraine didn’t suddenly appear out of nowhere. It traces the story from the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO moving farther east, U.S. involvement with Ukraine, Russia’s war with Georgia in 2008, the political upheaval in Ukraine in 2014, and years of tension building between Russia and the West. The video’s argument is simple. Russia watched NATO move closer to its borders while Washington became more involved in Ukraine, and eventually the whole thing became a pressure cooker. Now, some parts of this interpretation are heavily disputed. Especially the claims about NATO promises, U.S. involvement in Ukraine’s 2014 revolution, and who deserves blame for failed peace efforts. But one part is hard to ignore. Wars rarely start the day the shooting starts. They build over years. Bad decisions. Broken trust. Fear. Ego. Miscalculations. Leaders convincing themselves the other side will eventually blink. So here’s the question worth asking. If trying to understand why a war happened gets treated like defending the country that started it, how are we ever supposed to recognize the mistakes that might prevent the next one?
