Though what you say is true, unfortunately with AI nowadays a 72dpi image can easily be upscaled to 300dpi and be good enough for scammers.

I would say this concept is very relevant 20 years ago. As a gallery owner my concern with this issue out dated one It’s a “ redo” of the artwork ip through ai is a real concern in this era.

Yess there's Soo many people in the print on demand business who pride themselves on finding niche artwork. Pretty much just screenshoting art and adding it to their printful shop

I resize my photos to my website max 300mb. but the problem is that Ai can scale them. so I dont think we are safe even if the resolution is lower. but they should be lower anyway on the website that it works faster and won't get overloaded of images.
