I can see it needs doing, do it, and clear it off my mental plate. Or I can see it needs doing, ask you to do it, mentally log a follow up in 3 days because I can’t just trust you’ll actually handle it, check back in 3 days and find out oops, you did in fact forget to do it, remind you and mentally log another follow up… That’s not help, it’s another fucking chore.
