They stood right at the entrance. Abu Bakr (RA) became worried and said:

Seeing this, the pursuers thought no one could possibly be inside and turned back. The Prophet a and Abu Bakr (RA) remained safe and later continued their journey to Madinah, marking the beginning of the Islamic Hijrah.
